American Hard Maple

Specification

Unlike most other hardwoods, the sapwood of Hard Maple is most commonly used rather than its heartwood. You would want to choose Hard Maple for applications where hardness and strength are important, although it is not suitable for exterior joinery.

Appearance

Colour – Creamy white with a pale reddish brown tinge

Grain – Straight, occasionally wavy or curly

Texture – Fine and even
