American Cherry is prized for high-end interior applications due to the range of red tones in the heartwood.
Appearance
Colour – The sapwood of American Cherry is creamy white. Heartwood of American Cherry varies from rich red to reddish brown and will darken on exposure to light.
Grain – The wood has a fine uniform straight grain and may naturally contain brown pith flecks and small gum pockets.
Texture – Smooth texture

- Ease Of Drying – It dries fairly quickly with moderately large shrinkage, but is dimensionally stable after kilning. Kiln dried stock supplied.
- Preservative Treatment – The heartwood is moderately resistant to preservative treatment.
